Pacific Palisades
Pacific Palisades is a coastal neighborhood between Santa Monica and Malibu known for its’ cozy and quaint hometown feel. The Methodist Episcopal Church founded the area in 1922 and the Palisades, as locals call it, slowly became the summer enclave for the well-heeled “from town,” namely Beverly Hills and Bel Air. These days, idyllic beach bungalows have given way to multi-million properties home to the Who’s Who of the entertainment, financial and tech industries. Affluent buyers who prefer a relaxed hometown feel, discrete neighbors, spectacular hiking trails and great beach access are attracted to this iconic area. A distinguishing feature of the Palisades is The Village, a small center of town area where you’ll find most of the stores, restaurants, and cafes that Palisadians frequent. In fact, the developer Rick Caruso borrowed the name The Village for his latest project located in, you guessed it, The Village. The Caruso center is the newest addition to town with its’ high-end shopping and restaurants, a beautiful movie theater and park. So, if you prefer privacy and anonymity whether your contemplating ocean views or running errands in The Village, the Palisades is likely for you. And yes, that was Tom Hanks you saw ducking into that restaurant … but ssshh … remember, Palisadians crave privacy!
